Zero Waste

We had a visit from Alison who is one of the educators of The Zero Waste Education (ZWE) programme. The programme has been educating children, Year’s 1 - 8, about the topic of sustainable resource use since 1993. It enables children to investigate the link between the earth’s natural resources, the products they use and see around them and the resulting waste (natural resources we no longer want) that pollutes our environment. Using the tins they brought from home the students in the Heron Class decorated them to be used as vases. The students in the Godwit Class used their milk bottles to make mini worm farms. This was a fun learning experience for our students.

St John Visit

03/09/2018 We had a great visit from two St John educators, who took our students through various parts of safety. How to keep safe, what to do in an emergency and simple first aid. Plasters and bandages etc
